Jasleen Kaur Monga
Educational Therapist/Executive Function Coach
My journey as an educational therapist and executive function coach started as a mom supporting her child. As the parent of a child with ADHD, I navigated my way through the painful experiences of my child's struggle with academic success, self-regulation, and the parental problems associated with the process. My passion and compassion for supporting my child led to expanding my commitment to all my clients and fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment.
In addition to my work as an educational therapist, I draw on my experience working in international and independent schools as an educator in and out of the classroom. I've worked closely with students and their families throughout my twelve years in education to comprehend their various requirements. My experience during these years honed my teamwork and leadership skills, enabling me to work collaboratively with allied professionals and schools during IEP meetings.
My training in educational therapy has given me the additional advantage of applying the strategies and tools based on the latest neuroscience research and program development around rewiring the brain for students with learning differences. My out-of-the-box thinking helps me serve my clients in the best possible ways and promote their holistic growth. Additionally, I am a lifelong learner, and through my sessions, I hone my learners' skills to inculcate their learning passion, too. My love for providing ample support and holistic growth to my students led me to move from a job-based approach to establishing my private practice in February 2023.
To summarize, my mission as an educational therapist is to use my expertise to impart a growth mindset and problem-solving skills to my clients, set safe boundaries for them, acknowledge their needs, empower them to overcome their learning challenges, and help them realize that they are perfect but work differently than others.
In my free time, I love going for walks, watching TV, spending time with my family, listening to music, and painting.
